Application and Removal

Here are the official Jamberry Application and Removal Instructions.  I always recommend that you start here first.  If, after trying these methods, you find that they're not quite working for you, I'm happy to work with you and troubleshoot to find the right tricks to get you the best application possible.

You probably have all the tools needed for a successful application at home already - no special tools are required!

  • Hair Dryer or Small Heater
  • Nail Buffer Block
  • Clippers or Scissors
  • Nail File
  • Cuticle Pusher or Orange Stick
  • Rubbing Alcohol
  • Cotton Balls
  • Tweezers (Optional)
  • Cuticle Remover Creme (Optional)
  • Non-Moisturizing Soap (Optional)
If you don't have any of these items, Jamberry (of course) offers them as well!

Application Instructions

  1. Clean unpolished nails with alcohol wipe and push back cuticles
  2. Match nail (finger or toe) to the wrap that best fits
  3. Peel nail wrap from sheet using tweezers or an orange stick (do not touch the adhesive side with fingers)
  4. Warm adhesive side of wrap with a mini heater or blow dryer for 3-5 seconds or until soft and flexible.
  5. When warm, press the wrap to the nail.  Apply firm pressure around the edges to adhere the wrap to the nail.  Use a rubber cuticle pusher to seal the wrap around the base of the cuticle.
  6. Trim the excess with scissors and file off remaining wrap using a downward motion to remove excess.
  7. Apply additional heat and pressure to wrap again until it's bonded to the nail.

Removal Instructions

There are two removal options for Jamberry Nail Wraps.  To avoid damage and/or for nail wraps that have been worn more than 10 days, I recommend following the Gentle Nail Removal Process.

Quick Removal Process

  1. Heat the wraps with a blow dryer or mini heater for 15 seconds.
  2. Break the seal by getting under the edge of the wrap with your opposite thumb nail or an orange stick
  3. Slowly peel the wrap from sided to side.
  4. If the nail wraps are not peeling easily, or the adhesive is still bonded to the nail bed, follow the Gentle Removal Process

Gentle Removal Process

  1. Break the seal by getting under the edge of the wrap with your opposite thumb nail or an orange stick
  2. Soak the nail wraps in warm olive/coconut oil or nail polish remover for 20-30 seconds.
  3. Slide a floss stick between the wrap and the nail to remove the wrap.
  4. Soaking will break down the adhesive bond and allow them to slide easily off the nail bed.
